Mitsubishi Electric Visual and Imaging Systems Division is showing its best-selling display wall cube – the 60” Slim Cube – here at ITS America 2016 San Jose. This space-saving cube, an alternative to LCD flat panels, is designed specifically for applications that require near-zero bezel, true 24/7 continuous operation, and a low total cost of ownership.

The new VS-60HS12U Slim Cube measures only 20.5 inches deep, which can be more than 40% slimmer in depth than similarly-sized, conventional Mitsubishi Electric rear-projection LED display cubes. Additionally, depending on how it is installed, the footprint depth of the cube frame stand can be as shallow as 15.2 inches, and with front-access design, these new slim cubes can be installed nearflush to the back wall, saving even more space.
“Our Slim Cube offers near-zero bezel, giving the display wall image 85% less of a grid than most LCD panels,” said James Chan, director, marketing and business planning, Mitsubishi Electric Visual and Imaging Systems Division. “Most importantly, our Slim Cubes support true 24/7 operation mode that leaves no image retention or burn-in issues, offering a true worry-free continuous operation – much better than you can expect of LCD panels ran under the same conditions, thus minimising downtime, and reducing the long-term cost.”
“Some integrators choose LCD monitors in rooms with limited real estate and budgets, only to find that gridlines are distracting, and LCDs are not robust enough for true 24/7 operations,” Chan added.
The VS-60HS12U Slim Cube offers a better alternative: it is slim enough for the smaller control rooms; it has almost zero-bezel for clearer video and data display across the entire wall; and because they are designed and built for command and control operations, it is durable and reliable to keep overall total cost of ownership low.
