311 Bosch has opened its London Connectory, a Shoreditch-based office space to allow different partners to develop smart mobility solutions.

Bosch is now working with Nitrous, a platform for facilitating projects, to encourage collaboration between partners in the public, private and academic sectors.

George Johnston, founder and CEO of Nitrous, says: “This space has ambitious goals of making mobility more equitable, accessible, sustainable, and safe, thus reshaping cities around the world.”

The first partnership, an 18-month collaboration between Bosch and 1466 Transport for London, will explore how the goals set out by the mayor of London’s Transport Strategy can be addressed. These include reducing congestion and working towards 80% of
all trips across London being made on foot, bicycle or public transport by 2041.

Theo Blackwell, London’s chief digital officer, says: “We want to do even more to utilise data and smart technology to meet the needs of our citizens. To do this we need to be bold and think big, and this involves being willing to try new ways of doing things.”
