Optibus says calls from the French government to increase public transport usage prompted the company to open a new office in Paris.
Mourad Achour, Optibus’ regional director, France, says: “Increasing public transport usage is a matter of both will and technological capability. In France, the will is there. Now, Optibus’ software will introduce cutting-edge processes for increasing service efficiency, resulting in higher ridership and reduced pollution.”
Optibus combines optimisation algorithms, artificial intelligence and distributed cloud computing to optimise bus operations.
The company says the new office will work with clients and partners in France and French-speaking territories.
