Sensys Gatso has received multiple orders for speed and red-light traffic safety systems with a combined value of SEK 5 million ($0.5m) from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

These orders cover speed and red-light enforcement systems for the Emirates of Ajman and Ras al Khaimah.

Saman Alae Naziri, general manager of Sensys MENA in Dubai, UAE, says: “We are very pleased that the police authorities in the Northern Emirates have decided to further expand their installed base with additional systems from Sensys Gatso Group. Since we entered these markets, we have received regular annual or biannual orders from the Northern Emirates which is a result of the good work provided by us and our local partner.”

Sensys says it has a growing base of speed and red-light enforcement systems in the Northern Emirates of Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras al Khaimah, which has contributed to increased traffic safety.

Deliveries are planned for the fourth quarter of 2021.

Elsewhere in the group, Sensys Gatso USA is to provide an interstate speed camera safety programme with an estimated value over five years of $1.5 million in Mayfield Village, Ohio.

Interstate-271 runs through this suburb of Cleveland, giving Mayfield significant traffic volumes.

Sensys Gatso USA president Andrew Noble says: “Speed enforcement programmes like this one will help to continue the hard work of Mayfield in providing a safe and thriving community for its residents.”
