Technical Programme Overview

The technical sessions at the ITS World Congress will delve into four key themes: Automated Mobility, Innovation in Mobility & Logistics, Clean Mobility, and Urban Mobility. These topics represent the forefront of transportation technology and will be central to shaping the future of mobility. Experts will discuss how these advancements are being integrated into real-world applications, driving efficiency, sustainability, and safety in transportation systems.

Urban Mobility: The Future of City Transport

Urban mobility is at a critical juncture, with cities worldwide seeking to balance the need for efficient transportation with the demands of sustainability and safety. Sessions under this theme will explore the regulatory challenges facing transport authorities, the importance of seamless travel experiences from a user perspective, and the deployment of smart infrastructure. The integration of connected vehicles and next-generation traffic management systems will also be a focal point, highlighting the need for innovation and collaboration to enhance urban transport networks.

Innovation in Mobility and Transport

Innovation is the cornerstone of modern mobility. This theme will cover the use of big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning to optimize transport systems and improve decision-making processes. Discussions will also focus on the critical role of cybersecurity in protecting these increasingly complex networks. Additionally, the congress will explore first and last-mile solutions, smart freight movement, and the integration of various transport modes to create a cohesive, resilient, and future-ready mobility ecosystem.

Clean Mobility: Driving Sustainability

As the world shifts towards more sustainable practices, clean mobility has become a top priority. The ITS World Congress will address the challenges and opportunities associated with the adoption of electric vehicles, alternative fuels, and energy-efficient systems. Attendees will learn about innovative business models that are driving the transition to greener transportation, as well as the importance of life-cycle assessments in evaluating the environmental impact of these solutions. The goal is to find a balance between sustainability, practicality, and economic viability.
