The 30th ITS World Congress, from September 16-20, 2024, is organised by ERTICO - ITS Europe and hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates.

“Dubai was in competition with many international cities for the honour to hold this prestigious event,” said Mohammed Yousuf Almudharreb, chief executive, corporate technology support services at RTA. “Dubai has over the past 16 years or so invested the equivalent of around $27 billion into transportation infrastructure including roads and traffic management. We are also grateful for the work of ERTICO - ITS Europe in Dubai.”

Congress attendees are invited to visit the stand at 4.30pm on  Wednesday for a social event and presentation about ITS World Congress 2024. The government of Dubai has taken the lead to transform the city’s transport infrastructure by working towards seamless and sustainable mobility. This includes the ‘Dubai Self-Driving Transport Strategy’ where 25% of all transportation trips will be driverless by 2030.
