The debut of Swarco McCain on the world stage

For the past six years, Swarco has been running a wholly-owned affiliate in the ITS industry in Vista, California: McCain Incorporated. Now at the ITS World Congress, the company says this is the ideal moment to debut the company’s new name, Swarco McCain, exclusively on Swarco’s stand. This is in line with the Austrian-headquartered group of companies branding strategy of one Swarco and has now anchored the brand name also in the legal entity’s name of its Californian subsidiary.

“With this step, we underline McCain’s belonging to Swarco but at the same time keep it recognisable for our American customers as a well-established product brand,” says corporate spokesman Richard Neumann.

Exhibition visitors will be introduced to the Swarco MyCity urban mobility management suite with floating car data integration. Aligned with Swarco’s approach to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet city challenges with multimodal road network inclusion, the collaboration with Canadian start-up MicroTraffic enables MyCity to visualise and report on near misses and intersection risk data. As a result, cities will be able to analyse and deploy strategies to mitigate incidents and fatalities. This is a key global initiative, particularly since vulnerable road users are the main source of fatalities on our road networks.

The McCain ATC Cabinet Series and drone footage of an LED-based changeable message sign installed on California Highway 99 will be on display as well. Swarco will also give insights on its high-quality road marking systems and their crucial role in paving the way for automated driving.

Stand: 1139
